Geoff has decades of experience supporting vulnerable people, both in his role as a police officer, and later in his work with the Red Cross.

"I chose to become a trustee for Causeway as I have a real passion for helping people who have been forced into a life that they would not have chosen. In my ‘day job’ I work for the British Red Cross, and had the opportunity to develop the Modern Slavery Network in Merseyside, and to introduce a Human Trafficking response team into the Red Cross in Manchester and Merseyside. My interest and involvement in this issue stems back to a former career in the police where I was actively involved in hostage negotiation and in the recovery of people who were being held against their will."
