Campaign shines spotlight on careers in modern slavery support

An estimated 50 million people around the world are trapped in modern slavery and exploitation, with more than 100,000 here in the UK.

Causeway are one of the largest providers of modern slavery support in the country, and our team of nearly 200 staff work with over 2,000 individuals each year.

However, as our charity continues to grow, and the need for modern slavery support intensifies, we are looking for people to join our team.

Are you a new graduate, career mover, or somebody simply looking to find out more about modern slavery support roles?

Join our free webinar on Tuesday July 2nd at 11am to hear from our recruitment team and modern slavery support staff, see what the job entails, and whether a career in modern slavery support is for you!

The Insurance Institute for Liverpool kicks off year of support for Causeway with 'Spot the Signs' webinar

Over 100,000 people in the UK are currently trapped in modern slavery, and last year support referrals for survivors in the North West rose by 10%.

The Insurance Institute of Liverpool has generously chosen Causeway as their charity of the year, and have pledged to help us create tangible change for modern slavery survivors in the region, increase awareness and advocacy, and raise funds to help us deliver our vital services.

This new partnership will see The Insurance Institute of Liverpool support us in driving change and awareness around modern slavery in Merseyside, and will kick off their year of fundraising and awareness raising with a free 'Spot the signs of modern slavery' webinar on June 20th at 1pm.

First of its kind careers platform for modern slavery survivors launches in UK

Bright Future Co-operative has been empowering survivors of modern slavery to move into safe employment for seven years. Now they are launching the UK's first dedicated jobs website so more survivors from across the UK can enter employment, rebuild their lives, and take control over their futures.

This innovative new referral platform, which will be run by Causeway, enables organisations to find work opportunities for the survivors they support, and for businesses to advertise jobs, build an inclusive workforce, and support survivors to build careers and confidence in their recovery journey.

Join us on June 20th at 11am to hear from guest speakers, including former Anti-Slavery Commissioner Dame Sara Thornton, and businesses who have successfully employed survivors through Bright Future Co-operative, for an exclusive introduction to how the new platform works.
